I analyzed those picture books and in particular in this project I will focus on the first one: "Mini Rabbit: Not Lost"

In general I notice how I am attracted by picture books that have a poetic and metaphorical story, uses a limited amount of words, and simple design.

I love the composition in Not Lost, and how the spreads are often divided into vignettes.

The Character Design is simple and silly, and also extremely cute: look at that Rabbit!
I think in general I prefer characters that are not humans, because they allow more sillyness and cuteness - for instance in the book Jumble Wood there are a bunch of creatures that do not necessarily exist, but have so much character!

This story is about a journey, so most of the spread show the character in the landscape, and very rarely there is a close-up on the rabbit. I like this "theatrical" approach (( and I can see how I do the same in my work as an animation director)).

The color palette is bright and well balanced, and it changes throughout the book.
Textures: YES! All the books I picked use a lot of textures. In particular I love a mixed media effect and to see rough brush strokes and pencil scribbles.
