UPDATE: I spent this evening creating a floral OGEE and then tried the pattern making again. Success! The pattern/florals were inspired by zen tangles.

...............................

Previous project post:  I loved doing this. I wish I had kept to the more simple floral motif but today I was inspired by a class I saw where students were making Turkish lamps... not a bad idea.  But then I went down the rabbit hole of overlays and textures and linear burn (top photo) that affected the colors and actually the pattern once I tried to duplicate it. I tried a very basic pattern making process, duplicating and stretching to the four quadrants... not quite. Then I tried to delete the overlay layers and special effect layers and use the selection customized tool but alas...not even sure how I got the final pattern color scheme (last photo) and there is a line in the center I can't fix no matter how I snap to the corners. So.... I'm posting but I think I will try a more simple OGEE and go through the pattern process once more. Sure was fun though!
