I like that you've chosen a combination that you found "horrid". And it's great that you eventually had this experience. I'd agree. It worked out really well. I find this a harmonious color combination on your painting. I also like the close-up style with the framing. Congrats, Jen! You've completed the series. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us. Hi Tamas,  This series has been a pleasure, and I am glad to support you and to support other students. In fact, I'm kind of sad the series is over! (lol) You've encouraged me to work with color schemes I wouldn't have used if not for this class. (Like this one.)  Very glad you like the painting!  :)

Thanks Judy -- this one was tough. Persimmons were the first thing I could think of that had that odd shade of red-orange. (Tomatoes otherwise maybe?)  Haiku guy Masaoka Shiki wrote about eating persimmons a lot.  "After My Death" you can report I ate persimmons and loved haiku -- Masaoka Shiki

I chose the yellow-green / red-orange / blue violet theme because I thought it was a horrid combination. However ... I think it worked out well in the end.
