I had a lot of fun with this class and this project. Originally, when I first bought the little embroidery stitches book several years ago, I disliked French Knots based on how the illustration showed them in the book. However, actually making French Knots on a piece of embroidery has changed my mind, happily so. They are quite lovely and provide a different dimension to the embroidery that they wouldn't have otherwise. I feel like a few of my French Knots still need some work, along with my Satin Stitches and being mindful of the direction I'm embroidering versus the direction the portion in the picture is supposed to flow. Overall, though, I feel much more confident in working on new embroidery projects and enjoying a new pass-time. Thank you Hilary Leslie.
