Hey Heather… I haven’t painted with my pastels since the last time I painted with you, so it’s been a while! Hope everything has gone smoothly with your new home. Did you set up this class in your new studio? I was excited to see this class from you and decided to pull out the pastels and “dust” them off lol... I just dove in without much planning, and it probably shows, but I only had a short amount of time left to paint today and wanted to give it a try. From my finished work, I can see that I need to work on varying my edge control to emphasize distance and depth, and my layering could use some improvement as well. Still, I had a messy but fun time. I used a variety of pastels and Pastelmat, but I didn’t have any dark colors to work with. Thanks again, Heather. After the clean up I remembered why I don’t pull out the pastels that often. Took me quite awhile to wipe everything down and I even had to put my clothes in the washer! :):):)
