As a warm-up exercise I've chosen cups - you can paint these in a lot of different shapes and decorations. The look fun in different colors and it's great to fill a page with different cup shapes, sizes and colors. I tried to keep the colors within my chosen palette - this will help to create a pleasing design, too.

 

For the second exercise I searched my kitchen for interesting objects. I added a neutral tone - a light grey to my color palette and I think it works great to tie all the objects together on the page.
