Painting girl
There’s a painting
A painting in a room that has been long forgotten
A painting of a girl with a mask
A masquerade mask
Outside it’s raining
But in here we’re waiting
Waiting with the girl in the painting
She seems sweet but in pain
Like she’s stuck in a draining day
She’s seems sweet but enraged that she was engaged to him
He never quite deserved her
But as I observed
He never really loved her
He had scrubbed the place in his heart
Where she couldn’t be
He had judged her just to show her she was unloved
And though she had believed him
I just hoped not for long
There’s a painting
A painting in a room that has been long forgotten
A painting of a girl with a mask
A masquerade mask
And though that room is forgotten
The painting girl won’t be
It piles dust all day and rusts all night
But she won’t sit unloved
And while the room dies in secret
It won’t get the
Girl in the painting
