I ruined the background and planned to abandon the painting and start afresh. However the next day I decided to go ahead and it was really liberating.  I felt no pressure and just enjoyed the process, because it didn't matter. I'm not sure about other people, but facing a new project feels stressful, even if I've watched the lesson a few times. 

When I finished my No Pressure snowman with all the elements completed, suddenly I found the finished result acceptable, and the colour harmony pleasing. 

 

It's no masterpiece, but it's not going in the bin!
