Sir please write reason for the answers I made wrong along with the correct answer.

Sir I have a doubt in exercise-2  8th and 10th question.

8th question: How do we know whether it should be worse or worst for irregular adjectives?

10th question: Sir shouldn't it be smallest and sweetest because of the presence of article the  in the beginning? I was kind of familiar with the sentence so I have written smaller and sweeter.
