PENNY WHITE

Stuart Green

November 14, 2019

Stuart Green has good attendance in the class.  He has missed three times over the semester so far, and all have been excused absences.  Stuart always shows up with all materials needed for class and generally is seated and ready for class before the bell rings.  I have no concerns here.

As far as curriculum, Stuart is keeping up to date with all the required reading for class.  His grades on pop quizzes so far have been a B on average.  He is able to answer questions posed about the literature and gives well thought out answers, as well.

Stuart received an 83% grade for his oral presentation.  He spoke well, but his information was a bit jumbled and not well organized as he presented it.  The result of this was a presentation that didn’t flow well, but it did provide some education for the class.  When we met to discuss his presentation, I stressed that he should slow down in speech and take a little more time to sort out his topics so they are presented in a more organized fashion.  The next oral presentation will be in March.  Stuart seemed to take my notes to heart and so I have no concerns here.

We are currently in the midst of our winter semester project.  Stuart has chosen a topic that fits the theme and he stays on task during our library time, researching and writing.  In looking over the time line that he submitted, he seems on track to complete this project before winter break, as requested.  As such, I don’t have any concerns here.

In speaking with his parents, I’ll express my overall satisfaction with Stuart as a student in my class.  I feel that he is progressing along as expected and at this time I don’t have any concerns that he needs and additional help, or was falling behind in any way.  His parents will receive a copy of his project time-line, so they will be up-to-date on his current activity in class.
