Old treasure turned in to new gold
Wow! this was incredibly fun and scary at the same time.
I immediately went to the cupboards and drawers in search of materials.
Then I went through all the sewing stuff from my late grandmother, who was a great seamstress.
I found placemats from her that were still in the plastic, I took them apart and sewed the pink parts together with her sewing machine (1960 Husqvarna), I found a beautiful moss green silk ribbon, which I thought would go well with the hot pink material, I wanted to close the book with a ribbon.
I thought it was exciting to have a variety of sheets and chose canvas, watercolor paper 300gr. , canvas fabric, old painting from me, handmade 100% cotton sheets white and black.
I first made 3 signatures but thought it was too thin so I added 2 more and ended up with 5 signatures that I mirrored in the middle 1 2 3 2 1.
When I started gluing things together, I had to run because I forgot the ribbon in another room and put the glue on the things in the wrong order, but everything went together in the end. This was wery sentimental project for me.
Thank you for this class, LOVE it.
