This was a fantastic class by Nadine. My intention was to do this as a quick practice trial and repeat, but I ended up being fairly happy with the result, even though I learned through mistakes!

I used DS and WN paints and Arches. I did not have the nifty large oval brush suggested, so used a smaller size cat's tongue.

If I do a second run, I will definitely strive to get better work on feathers and the background. But, I love the color combo of the brown and blue, and the lightness and spontaneity of this exercise. Even though my painting isn't perfect, I like the overall effect. I learned a lot in this lesson. Nadine is a wonderful artist and teacher!
