Using a limited number of watercolor markers I had on hand (Econoline and Tombow), my rendering of this project revealed how important practice is in applying water quickly to the paper or palette when creating a gradient wash without harsh lines. Given my limited art experience, this was an excellent introduction to exploring the properties of watercolor markers versus watercolor paints. Kolbie’s instruction was exceptional, and I am motivated to continue learning more about watercolor techniques.
