I've chosen Vincent van Gogh's painting "The Sewer" for my first try to paint in the style of this great artist. Inste&ad of gouache I used water mixable oil paints. 

Not only do I like this painting (the original!) a lot, I also enjoyed copying it.  Exploring the composition, the colors, his brushstrokes made me see this work of art differently - and finally increased my admiration of van Gogh even more.
