I had some holes in my favorite pair of pants after a craft related accident (let's just say that there were some very sharp scissors involved). I ironed on some backing to the inside of the fabric and then I did some stem stitch embroidery on the outside with threads of the same colours as the pattern on the pants. I figured that the embroidery both serves to make the mending pretty and to strengthen the backing. How do you like it?
