My project:)

This project is kind of mixed with Dylan's lovely class about getting to know your paints, because I was just watching it too:) I used watercolors instead of gouache.
This is the improvised version, I really enjoyed painting it, it was quick and free and this is my favourite method at the moment- going straight in with paint. I find sketching a bit stressful and it takes a lot of the fun out of the process for me because I keep erasing and drawing.. It brings my perfectionism out, while when I'm improvising I'm allowing myself to make mistakes, play and be loose more easily, although I did allow myself that on the planned side as well:)
The planned side is naturally more polished and I do love the result more, but not the process of making it, and the process is what I'm trying to put my focus on these days:)
I also didn't add the background to the planned version because I treated it more preciously because I put a lot more time into it, and was a little afraid to ruin it and I love that I don't do it when I'm improvising.
I also did another experiment in these like in Dylan's other class- I painted the left one with a big brush (8) that has soft bristles and is a bit harder to control. The right one was made with a number 1 brush that is really easy to control:)
