This is my adequate, not-to-scale plan for my backyard. I have been dreaming of owning land and homesteading for years, but I finally got tired of waiting for later, and decided that I would make my own little suburban micro homestead where I am now (¼ acre). I have been studying, reading, and consuming relevant content like a machine for the past year, and this is the season that everything comes together! I will be finishing building the coop and run by the end of the month, I'll be picking up my 4 (per code) sexed chicks on March 5, and I couldn't be more excited! I've got my raised beds in already, but I do need to build my compost bin(s), as I've just sort of been piling and I want to make a nice 3-bin setup with a lid.

 

This course was great! I would highly recommend it for any beginner or someone thinking of changing their lifestyle a bit. I consider myself an eco-minimalist, and the homesteading life is right up my alley! The instructor was great and very knowledgeable. I would love to follow her on social media, maybe she can post that info somewhere!
