This project is something that I've been wanting to work on since Betsy's last live event. I always love shadowbox projects in school, and this project sort of rekindled that excitement.

 

I didn't have a good option for shallow boxes on hand for this project, so I combined some cardboard pieces to shape an open box of my own.

 

After gluing it together, I cut a pieces of watercolor paper to fit on each side of the box as well as on the opening flap. 

 

I painted each piece a slightly different color in my color palette, and painted the outside of the box as well.

 

Then I cut up smaller pieces of watercolor paper with the scraps left over and painted different fashion items on each one, using the same color palette. It was so much fun working on this during the recent live event with other students! It really helped me focus and challenged my creativity.
