Motivational Sketchbook Practices

I loved your class, Sam, and am posting 7 images to show my journey through the class.  Some I think are more successful than others.  Interestingly, one of my favorite images is the blind contour drawing!!...just because it is so loose and free.  I also like the continuous line drawing.  The peppers (abstract/ traditional exercise) is too dark, in my opinion, and the last one dividing the page has its good moments and not so good.  I wish the red square wasn't so much in contrast with all of the other squares because it calls too much attention to itself.  The viewfinder was fun.  All of these exercises sparked ideas for the future, which is the purpose!  Thank you for a terrific class.

PS....from the time that I wrote this yesterday I decided to experiment and see if by darkening/ adding to the color on the last image of "Dividing the Page into Shapes" it would balance the values and colors with the red square which I had remarked stood out too much.  I am VERY happy with how it turned out.  I have heard you say, Sam, that sometimes when something isn't working out you need to keep going, keep building up the layers until you are happier with the results.  I think I have a small victory with that here.
