Moody Mini Landscapes with Tiny Collage House

I’ve always loved the moody landscapes of the Scottish Highlands and the drama of Iceland - those scenes where a tiny dwelling sits quietly in the middle of a vast, rugged terrain. There’s something about that scale and contrast.
Working small and loose allowed me to capture that feeling without getting bogged down in details. Using wet-on-wet washes and a limited palette, I focused on atmosphere and flow - letting the paint move freely and do much of the work.
The addition of a tiny collage house brought a sense of story and real charm. In under 10 minutes, I had three unique little scenes and great reminder that sometimes less really is more. The process was both freeing and deeply relaxing and I now have rather large and growing collection of mini landscapes.
