Ran through a "random monster generator" websites to see what kind of attributes I'd be working with:

Quadruped, large—an animal like a bear, horse, deer, goat, puma or bull

Bioluminescent—glows faintly or brightly, constantly or at will

Single Eye—limited depth perception

Jump—hopping (as a mode of travel) or single leap (for attacks)

Plumes—colorful, perhaps retractable

 

The result is the Mighty Frogrilla, checking most of those boxes. (Glow? really?)

His titanic monocular eye features a leaf-shuttering system previously not found in nature. He leaps tall buildings to...well, sit on them.

All he really needs is his Fay Wray damsel in distress.
