I really enjoyed the class but found that working with gouache was a bit more difficult than I had expected. My painting did not at all turn out like I had planned. I had a different color scheme in mind, but once I got started mixing colors they came out all wrong,  so I ended up overworking the paint on the flowers, I think. I used a watercolor wash in sepia for the background because I wanted a streaky vintage look. This I painted first. I tried to do some shading on the flowers, but …meh, not so great. I’d love an honest critique of my painting…I won’t be offended by suggestions for improvement. Overall, I feel that I can learn from my mistakes and hopefully improve!
