Medieval Windmill Scene

This is my project submission!

I created the windmill from the class and placed it in the open world level map of Unreal Engine 5. Using what I had learnt in your modular kitbash course, I created the landscape by first sculpting it; creating a landscape material that had grass with a mud layer that I could paint on; setting a rock material to automatically apply on slopes; and then adding a river for the water wheel.

I decided to create more props so I modelled a large medieval building from a concept drawing I came across, and then made a few small assets consisting of barrels, crates and fences. Finally I used Quixel Bridge 3D plants assets to populate the scene with foliage.

I did a bit of post processing at the end by increasing the contrast of the look so the textures of the buildings stand out more. I didn't experiment with the lighting though, that's something I plan to work on more in Unreal. I thought the default late afternoon lighting suited the scene well!

Thank you so much for sharing this class! I enjoyed working through it and learnt so many things that I will take towards future projects. Any comments or feedback is greatly appreciated.
