Manifesto personal en un sobre (Winter 2016 - Spring 2017)

I made my personal envelope manifesto December 2016 and it got lost in a bookshelf for several months!

My experience with this exercises were excitement, fun and sometimes feeling a little silly.

I felt the tearing up of the sheet of paper was a little pointless at first. But during the exercise I found it was extremely calming and useful. Found out that tearing up can help me anytime I feel overwhelmed. Just as any project can be made up of small steps, any problem can also be divided and no problem is eternal. There is always an ending just as there is no way to keep tearing microscopic pieces of paper.

Questioning the money had a double degree of difficulty since a dollar is not my country's currency and the exchange rate has been crazy. It was a total release. It gave me great satisfaction and a bit of fear to color a dollar bill I had, (of course I wouldn't dare to this on a bill larger than $1.00)

As it always happens when you are looking for something else, you find some other stuff you had long misplaced. Found it and mailed it to me March 2017.

I went downtown to the Postal Palace, it is a late century, very beautiful building located in downtown Mexico City. The experience of sending a letter from this place is amazing. It connects you with the past!

Since the Mexican Postal Service is not very reliable it is probable that it will get lost. But the fun, the excitement and the letting go were great. I think I will make this exercise every year.

Thanks Adam

This is how the Postal Palace looks inside. It is rad place with metal work from Italy, marble. It was inaugurated in 1907 and hosts an eclectic mix of styles, including Venetian Renaissance, Neoclassical and Art Deco. And it is a working post office, Postal Office 1. It is a beautiful building outside and inside in the historic center, Downtown Mexico City.
