Magic Set
One of my earliest memories of enjoyment was of my mom buying me a magic set in Brooklyn. Although the details are hazy like a dream now, I do remember trying to perfect each of the ostensibly basic tricks—slight of hand and prestige. The kit was minimal—it included an obligatory wand as a prop, a trick double-sided card deck, interlocking rings, cups with foam spheres and magic disappearing star paper. I loved it.
