Lots of options

I think of these as my little handbag earrings! I tried both ways of soldering the earwires but found doing the jumping and then joining it to the wire much easier. I don't have the cool tools stencil so made these with the one I have in the shape that was the best fit for the silver I had available.

They have been textured with one of Joanne's latest laser textured cards in a pattern of leaves rather like some of Orla Kielly's designs. None of my stones had a hole big enough for the earwire so I carefully enlarged the holes in these peridot rondelles with a wet bead reamer. I liked the idea of a green stone with the leaf pattern.Maybe I can switch to an orange or yellow stone in autumn.

Lots of options - image 1 - student project I have not added the crimp bead as I find gravity keeps the stones in place and they are a fairly tight fit on the wire. This way I can also keep my options open and try other beads. I struggled to get the jumping through the earring until I thought of annealing it first and that made the task much easier.
