This was a really interesting class by Jane Davies.  Teaching my eye how to look at images differently.   I sometimes struggle with working with paint out of the tube. My guess is that if you were to put on palette, it would dry out quickly and not have the same punch. Living in Southern California, I find that working from the tubes results in the surface of the paint drying really quickly. Still, loving the free-flow approach to watercolor!
