Beautiful, Laura - I really love your bouquet! I agree w/Diana - you would think loose would be easier than tightly controlled, but I find it the opposite in a lot of ways. I think the most important thing for all of us is to keep stretching out of our comfort zones and just go for it!

Thank you Christine. That is so true :) loose is very hard and it is so hard to go outside our comfort zone :) but that is the only way we will learn.

Looks great!  Agree!  “Loose” requires 100% cotton paper, knowing the wetness “temperature of your paper, and letting the pigments and water play together!

Trying to learn how to paint loose. Way harder than it sounds, but lots of fun :) I had no idea what a filbert brush was good for other than lifting paint on the horizon line. Joly, explains it very well. She explains everything very well. She makes flowers look so easy. With lots more practice, I'm sure I can get it.
