For this class project, I designed my own cartoon cat! Here's a look at my process step by step.

I started by sketching loose shapes, playing with forms and curves to find a pose and personality that felt right. 

Once I had a few sketches I liked, I refined the silhouette, making sure the design read clearly from the outline alone.

Finally, I added expression and small details with my favorite Procreate brushes to bring a sense of story and attitude to the character. I used texture, and color to make the character come to life. 

I had a lot of fun creating this class I can’t wait to see your cats!
