Lets Make Breakfast - student project

This is an experiment to see if people are interested in making quick and healthy make-ahead breakfasts. Using a voice-activated device (Alexa). The device will help give some easy and straightforward instructions on how to make breakfast. It's Ideal for really busy people. 

The Alexa skill is perfect for professionals, students or families - anyone with a packed schedule. Little to no cooking experience is required. Let's make breakfast!

 

To get started say "Alexa open Let's make breakfast"

 

  1. Short-term goal - Start with 2 recipes - Overnight Oats & something else
  2. Long-term goal - Add 5 amazing make-ahead breakfasts  

 

Personas.

 

Steve 18  - Full-time student.  Lives in the UK. Attends University, lives with 5 other students in a shared house.  First time away from home. Needs to learn how to cook something very simple and on a budget.   

Experience Goals: Healthy, in control and more focused in the morning. 

End Goals: Discover new food, that they will enjoy eating. Share on social media (instagram, twitter, facebook - get more likes and RT's!

Life Goals: Better diet. Lose weight.

 

Sally 40  - Full-time nurse Lives in New York. Does shift work, sometimes works evening and weekends depending on her schedule. Has a family to feed. But is too busy to cook and has no time, wants something quick and easy to cook, minimum fuzz no effort.

Experience Goals:  Less stressed out when making kids breakfast

End Goals:  Parents and Kids a lot calmer knowing they have breakfast already prepared 

Life Goals: Get to spend quality time with the kids, showing them how to make breakfast.  Allow kids to come up with their own recipes. 

 

John  80 - Retired Lives in Toronto. Has been given this because he lives on his own.  Told he needs to reduce blood sugar levels and also reduce his cholesterol. So wants something he can batch prepare so he doesn't need to cook every day as he doesn't like cooking.

 

 

Experience Goals:  Reduce blood sugar & cholesterol. Get to try something new. 

End Goals: Can share the experience with friends and family

Life Goals:  Learn about how new technology works. May want to try other Alexa skills that will help him day to day. 

 

I think I may have done 'a dull average - one size fits approach' as discussed. But any feedback would be appreciated!
