Latina Vibrant Wo-man

My first self portrait I wanted to showcase my individuality as a latina vibrant woman with Spanish roots originating in Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic- I wanted to show a balance of my feminine and masculine energy and use the flowers to symbolize vibrancy and being a latina queen that is her own muse and work of art. I also incorporated  my Frida Kahlo jacket- the Mexican deceased artist left an impact on me as her aesthetic is something I can deeply resonate with. I find beauty in her iconic unibrow, her floral artwork and her wild, untamed woman persona. That is what I wanted to demonstrate here, a latina vibrant woman who doesn’t conform to the traditional views of how a woman should be and carry herself. I am free in all forms, I am a butterfly in the garden of vintage sweetness.
