I went "off script" for this effort.  I had been watching Elina's class "Granulating Watercolor Technique: Painting Vintage Doors" when I decided I just had to get a couple of the Schmincke Tundra Series granulating colors she referenced. While I was waiting for the new colors to arrive, I came across this project and just when I was about to start, my new colors arrived.  So I thought why not try these granulationg colors on this project, hence all the granulation in the sky and mountains.  I did not get the expected granulation in the foreground, but had a lot fun focusing on granulation and am very happy with the project.  I may try her Vintage Door class soon.  Thank you, Elina for another great project!
