I love Kandinsky. He inspires me. I study his art and essays. However, the painting chosen for this project is my least favorite. But I was challenged. I went beyond my comfort zone and used a different color palette. I hate mixing colors, but learned the merit of mixing them. I made some cool colors and really enjoyed it. I made notes of how I mixed the colors. So, I also included markings and images from some of the Kandinsky paintings that I do like. This was a great class. I haven’t done the Derain part of the class yet, so stay tuned.
