For this project, I painted a cozy Japanese café scene in watercolor style using Procreate, submitting both the initial sketch and the finished piece. I worked from the same reference provided in class and learned a lot about creating watercolor effects digitally. I still need to refine my coloring and shading skills, and improve my interpretation of the reference—but overall, I’m happy with the progress and how this piece came together.
