Great work, Rhufon. I like that you've taken the opportunity here to draw a sequence of moments from a scene! I think you really captured the spirit of Edward Ardizzone's cross hatching. He is not an illustrator I knew by name but his style is so familiar, I must have had a book during my childhood that featured his work. Thank you for sharing!Ira

Your comments are appreciated and humbling. Ardizzone was a very famous British illustrator of the first half of the twentieth century. His style can  very loose at times and can catch the unwary by being too simple, it isn’t until you try to do similar that you realise how accurate everything is.
