Illustrated Journaling
DAY ONE: CURRENTLY LISTENING TO…
I borrowed my daughters markers for this one!
DAY TWO: I RECENTLY LEARNED…
I'm usually constantly reading, listening, picking things up but when I sat down to draw what I have recently learned my mind was blank. So I went with what I am STILL LEARNING because some times it takes awhile for information to really sink in!
DAY THREE: CREATING WITH…
I always have a bunch of things that I am working on and switch between analog and digital constantly. The coffee cup was a last minute addition and in hindsight I would make it larger…much larger!
_________
DAY FOUR: LATEST READING…
A little awkward to read this one cause I didn't consider things from a 'portrait' position. This is a mix of books/magazines I read for me and some books I am reading with my kiddos.
_________
DAY FIVE: INGREDIENTS TO MY MESS…
In real life, at least 75% of my mess is related to having young kids! You get one mess cleaned up, then you turn around and there's another mess!!
_________
DAY SIX: DAILY ROUTINE
Each day is a little different but I definitely feed our cat (and the kids) every day, make coffee, brush my teeth, draw or scribble down some thoughts, read stories to, snuggle and kiss my kids.
_________
DAY SEVEN: CURRENT CRAVINGS
It's all about more time; to draw to paint, to read, to just be quiet and enjoy my coffee while it's hot…
_________
DAY EIGHT: I KEEP WEARING…
My wardrobe is a sad state of affairs; everything I own is stained with paint/food or full of holes! The body lotion is an absolute necessity to combat dry skin and it smells SO good! Then I try to wear some funky socks so my daughter doesn't think I am a complete bore :)
_________
DAY NINE: SELF CARE NECESSITIES…
A walk in the woods and a good night's sleep cannot be beat. Doing a brain dump in my journal also works wonders. Sometimes, I just need to listen to some of my fav music from my earlier years and shake my thang. Petting the cat, drinking more water or turning on the diffuser with an oil blend that smells like the woods (when I can't get there) also helps a bunch.
_________
DAY TEN: GROCERY RUN
This is just a handful of what was on the list…
_________
DAY ELEVEN: FAVOURITE CORNER
This was a tough one mainly because are renovating our old house and every room is a total mess! However, the front 'sitting/living' room has this window seat where we keep our plants and a lot of our books are in that room too so although it's not a corner, it's my current favourite place.
_________
DAY TWELVE: TOILETRY BAG
So much stuff packed into my bag! These are just the things I use the most plus the bag itself because I love it.
_________
DAY THIRTEEN: RELIABLE RECIPE
Mexi bowls are my go-to. It's something that even the kids love!
_________
DAY FOURTEEN: #OBSESSED
There is a documentary about Hilma AF Klint called Beyond the Visible and I watched it a bunch of times online at the beginning of the pandemic. This led me to researching sacred geometry Also, making my own paint (mixing pigment and binder is a very meditative process).
