Hi Jacob,  Thank you for sharing your work!  I think this drawing is off to a really good start! You mentioned that it felt a bit rushed, but if you were able to spend some more time on it, I think you could absolutely improve upon it. The overall shape of the foot is actually looking pretty good. There may a few small angle changes around the ankles and top part of the foot that could use some adjusting, but I think those would be easy fixes since your shadow value isn't too dark.  Not knowing how much time you spent on this, I know that these exercises can be tricky and perhaps not the most fun. However, the skills you develop from doing them and drawing them accurately is a great foundational tool you can take into your other drawings.  Outside of a few of the points I mentioned, what would ultimately help is darkening the overall shadow value and eliminate the 'noise' in the tone so that the value is solid. Typically using harder graphite pencils will achieve this. With a darker shadow value, it will be much easier to turn the forms into the light side of the toes and foot as the darker values will give you more room to do that. I hope that helps! Keep it up!
