JUANITA SMITH

My name is Juanita Smith, and I became a Certified AI Consultant in March 2026. I love learning about artificial intelligence and teaching others what I know even while I am still learning myself. I am also a nonprofit consultant and strategist. I help people secure their 501(c)(3) exemption status and figure out how to bring AI into their nonprofit work in a way that actually makes sense for them. I am also a contributing author in "25 Industry Experts Reveal How Artificial Intelligence Is Transforming Everything," alongside Alicia Lyttle and 24 other authors. My chapter is called "The Mission-Driven Edge: How Nonprofit Leaders Can Harness AI to Amplify Their Impact." The books have arrived, and I have not started promoting it yet. I have been with Los Angeles County for 41 years, holding various positions along the way, and I currently serve as an Executive Secretary. What I love most is helping nonprofit founders, mature professionals, and entrepreneurs adopt AI without the overwhelm. My guiding principle for nonprofit leaders is founder first, tool second technology supports the mission, but it never replaces the judgment of the person leading it.
