Ive been editing for years now but lately ive been asking myself how can i enjoy this more than i already do?

Build

I was up late one night finishing a project for a client but as i was finishing up i started to think how did i get here? When I first started learning and doing video editing I was so in love with it I would spend countless nights awake just messing about with my editing software learning new tricks and transitions. Now I sit here as if a mindless robot working video to video.

Change

As i finished off the project i looked into my complete projects file, looking at all the projects I've done over the years then i started to notice that each one no matter how similar in looks had its own unique story but that's when it clicked I never fell in love with video editing simply to edit videos(pause) I fell in love with video editing for it gave me creative liberty into making whatever story i want possible whether it be Cinematic or Documentary I could follow my passion into creating anything my mind could conquer and put it into a video for people to see my creations.

Reflection

Now you might be asking yourself how this applies to me? Because the same way I let myself become a mindless robot you let repetition get in the way of passion. In order to enjoy, get better at and love editing you must have a burning passion to represent your creativity in your work to make a story so complex and beautiful it leaves the viewer stunned. You must set your sails free
