How to Draw 101 Ep. 1 - Basic Drawing Skills

Yes, I've improved! WOW! Thank you, Tamas. I've already started watching Ep. 2 so am eager to keep going, though I'd planned to do sketches of all of the subjects you posted here. I thought I'd be intimidated and bored with the technical aspect of these classes, but you are making them easier to follow and absorb with your images, graphics, and showing us how you are using the digital technology to teach us. This has become very interesting! (And I didn't think I'd like this). So here's just the one sketch I did late last night when I was tired, and I was amazed it came out so well. It could do with a few touch-ups in the light of day now. I see her upper back is too long, but that would be too involved a fix, so I'll just leave that as is.

[See update below where I did a second image, and, shared the first sketches done before watching the lessons, as Tamas suggested we do. Now I feel brave enough to share those. :-)]

Update: I did a second image. I might do more for the practice. But I'm working my way through Ep 2 of this series. All the practice images are helpful.  I am quite amazed by how I am doing with this. Tamas, your encouragement through these lessons is greatly appreciated, e.g. your saying "Stay with me on this." And other ways you tell us we'll be glad we did these. You are so right!

Another update: I tweaked this profile sketch a little more. Sometimes I just don't know when to quit. :-)

And here is a preliminary page done before watching the lessons. I might still do the pawn and eyeglasses again to see how I've improved.
