Ooh, Angela, this cow has such personality! I love it! The colours work really nicely together and the hair has a lovely sense of movement. The dark tones can definitely be tricky at first (especially because they are the first ones laid down, so can feel the most uncertain on the page) but the more you play the more instinctive they will become. I hope you’ll enjoy giving a rainbow version a try in future too - it’s a lot of fun! Thanks so much for taking the class, and reviewing too, I’m so happy you enjoyed it!

I quite like the colors you picked Angela. You have the perspective down and the viewer knows what the subject is. I quite like the horns and nose. The layering and highlights are very good. :)

I am very new to oil pastels, it’s the biggest project I’ve tackled to date! Really enjoyed the process. I decided to go with natural colours as I thought it would be easier. But I wished I’d just copied the colours suggested as I struggled with the dark tones! Thanks for a great class.
