Heritage Tile - Brush - Stamp

Heritage Tile - Brush - Stamp - image 1 - student projectWow.  I learned so much from this project.  The most important thing I learned was how much more I'd like to and need to practice.

There were decorative tiles on the front porch in the house where I grew up. They were large, looked heavy, and lasted for at least 100 years. I wanted to try these techniques so that I could try to recreate those porch tiles later.

In case anyone with an interest in herbs sees this, know that "oregano" in this case is a type of mint, not the kind you use to add flavor to your next dinner recipe.  Also, "basora pretu" literally means "black broom," like the thing you use to sweep the floor.

Thank you for another fun class, Nicole!
