Happy for the lesson and the practice

I've been doing watercolor for several years now, but still a beginner. Wet on wet is still a huge challenge, so my landscapes - skies, mountains, water, etc. still look too heavy or too flat. So I appreciated this focused lesson to watch Nia carefully, even though I still cannot reproduce her beautiful results. I've attached photos of my work. I don't have any hot-pressed paper, so used something I found which was smooth for the lower page. I also didn't do the pastry since I don't have the hot-press paper, but might come back and do it on cold-press. I did include at the bottom a study I did for texture on cakes. I can see improvement!

Thanks for looking and thanks for the great lesson, Nia.
