Donna, you did an amazing job with this one! You've created a great sense of form and structure through your development of a wide range of values throughout the machine, from your lightest lights to your midtones and darkest darks.The metal sections look very convincing, and you've preserved those brightest highlights beautifully. I love the weathered look in the sticker, and the letters in the metal flap look raised and believable.The washes in the background wall and table surface show great water and brush control, and there are no distracting textures pulling attention away from the focal point.The cast shadow on the table surface also adds a great sense of realism by reinforcing the idea of the machine's mass blocking the light source.The transparent glass is very well painted, too! I love the soft effects here and how some edges almost become lost with the background, as it also adds to the realism. The colorful splashes in the glass add color while also strengthening the overall harmony of the piece.Such beautiful work! I love this one Donna.  It is so well done. The machine and glass, I love retro subjects. I have a Chicklets gum container in my studio with glass sides same era.
