Gouache para principiantes: herramientas y técnicas

<p>Thank you for taking my class and publishing your result! Is this your first time painting with gouache? It's hard to believe :) The apple has volume, feels like I can reach out and grab it. The only thing I would change is maybe a little lighter background, it would bring out the luminosity of the apple even more. I got curious what brand of gouache do you use?</p>

Hi Ayna, thanks for the advice! :) I only started painting with gouache for less than a month. The past 6 months I have been self learning to paint with watercolor. I find gouache more difficult to control and I don't seem to be able to dilute the gouache to a very smooth texture like what I saw in your video. And blending is an issue to me too. Wondering is it because I use mixed media paper instead of watercolor paper. By the way, I am using Holbein brand that my friend bought for me from Japan. That is the only gouache brand I know from Japan. :)
