Had lots of fun playing with gouache under Giulia’s guidance! I decided to try to add in a background first and did my usual style of doodles.

I discovered that my fountain pen for inking wasn’t the world’s best choice for on top of gouache, and even my micron didn’t love me that much after this (it’s all better now, lol) I did enjoy using a white gelly roll on top, that worked great.

I’m a gouache newbie and had to play around a bit with a separate page. Here are my trial brush strokes where I was initially figuring out consistency and transparency. (Ignore the watercolour circles on the left.)
