I enjoyed this class and I'd only ever attempted a very loose rose, so it was useful learning how to approach it in several ways. I don't know if there was a reference photo so I just tried creating the shadows where I thought they might be, although I know some are most definitely wrong!

The last one I tried was quite tight but with pen and ink as well - I might have another attempt at this as I'd prefer to keep it a bit more translucent looking.
