Drawing exercises: figure drawing with simple shapes

Hi Julia, thanks for joining in.  I love what you did with upper part of the leg, showing the oval shapes and construction. Great job. Still somehow I feel you run out of paper so the lower part is smaller then it should be. Net time I suggest that you measure or imagine (before going into drawing) what space the entire figure occupies and make marks on the paper, very lightly Next, look at the shoulder and the upper part of the hand in front. I think it could be smaller and shorter.  Overall, a nice drawing with some stiffness in lines. Try to relax and capture the pose in fewer lines. Good way to exercise this is to limit the time for making individual drawing and go for the next one. Look for what you done right or wrong after you complete a few. Also, I'll add more of my drawings that I created for this class to the project section so that you can download and take a look. Again, these won't be perfect either but constant improving, finding mistakes, learning from them, observing and exercising will defiantly help you get better at the skill of drawing. I kinda saw the couple of mistakes you listed, but i didn't want to redraw it a trizillion times so i just went for it!
i realized the paper was too little only when i got to drawing legs and kiiinda tried to sqeeze them in. didn't work out too well. 
I agree that line work could have been better as well as the shoulders (my god, do i hate drawing shoulders, never get them right) might have been not so weird :) hands too...
