I really enjoyed this class, and I love your teaching style Nic, and the calm and measured way you impart so much knowledge in such a short space of time!

Initially, I recreated a design I'd originally done in pen and ink, just to see how easy it would be to replicate it digitally using vectors, and specifically, using the pen tool. Up until this point, I'd been intimidated by the pen tool in Illustrator and thought that trying it on my iPad using the Graphic app would be a gentler way to get to grips with it. And it was!

I was so happy with how the design turned out, that I proceeded to use the elements I'd created to design a birthday card. I didn't do the full layout, just the front of the card to see how it would look, and I'm very happy with how cheerful and fun it looks.

I particularly enjoyed creating the lettering for 'happy' that was a lot of fun!
