Great to see more of your artwork Angus! I can really see the idea of gesture and movement in these pieces. For your runner pose sketch, the shapes and gesture are clear, and help support the direction of the figure. The head I would move slightly back to ensure the neck isn't elongated too might. This may just be by making the circle of the head further back with the facial features, and/ or making it slightly larger. With the foot that touches the ground, I would consider making the back of the foot follow along with the line of the back of the ankle, as it currently seems to curve more at the back of the foot than it may naturally do.  With your standing sketch, it's great to see the components come together with the outfit. I would emphasize the bump/ knee details on the left knee a bit further, as it's currently soft and difficult to see the detail of the knee. The head, if space permits, would also benefit by being taller to match the height the figure you've drawn. Using a comparison method, measuring the length of the torso to the knee, roughly creates the same height as the torso to the top of the head in this reference photo.  You've done a great job!
